Welcome

Hi, I'm Zek.  Z-Drive is my independent manual driving school covering most of the immediate area around my home village of Marple Bridge in Stockport . With over 7 years experience in the driver training industry, and with a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from, I aim to provide for all your driver training needs.

 

My teaching background began at the University of Manchester when initially studying to become a History teacher.  While there, I became involved with the road safety branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, 'RoSPA': an organisation which specialises in the training of advanced driving and riding, leading to the hardest civilian test available.  I took on the advanced driving course (passing with a Gold), and would later go on to become both a tutor and a trustee of the Manchester branch.  

 

At the same time, I also completed my advanced motorcycling course, allowing me to take up duty as Blood Bikes Manchester's youngest ever Blood Biker at the time.  I delivered emergency out-of-hours supplies such as blood, plasma and samples to hospitals and hospices in and around Greater Manchester.

 

It was only a matter of time until I combined all my road-related passion, knowledge and experience with my teacher training, and took the natural step to getting started in driver training.  It remains one of the best decisions I've ever made.  One of the particular highlights has been the delivery of training to a world famous football team.  Unfortunately, I signed a non-disclosure agreement so I cannot reveal who!  Yet the most rewarding part of the job is seeing pupils' reaction when they hear the news that they have passed their test.  It is a sense of pride I will always have.  ​​
